The journey so far

While Mark and Cathy were living and working in Germany the Lord started showing them a "place". It would often come to their minds as they were worshipping the Lord. At first they did not know what it was or why He was showing this to them. Over a period of time, they realised that the Lord wanted a SPECIFIC PLACE where people would minister to Him in prayer and worship, in intercession and creative arts.

What they saw was a place of HIS PRESENCE – a place where people were ministering to HIM first – and flowing out from HIS PRESENCE people were being healed, and captives were being set free.

This was the vision they had. They hadn’t really connected this with a house of prayer at that time, but as they stepped out in faith and followed Him, the Lord began to show them more.

God called them to leave the security of a full time job and to trust Him for their finances – and He led them to the beautiful city of Kraków in Poland.

Almost as soon as they arrived, the Lord started directing their attention towards Oświęcim (the city by KL Auschwitz) just 60 km from Kraków. Every week they went to Oświęcim and as they did, the vision began to unfold further. God began to show them something of His heart for Auschwitz. Their hearts burned within them as they prayed and sought the Lord there.

They realised that the "place" God had been showing them was to be located in the vicinity of Oświęcim. He started connecting them with people locally and internationally. Part of their response was to establish a Polish foundation called "Fundacja Living Stones" which, among other things, would be the vehicle to purchase and manage a property that would be used for a house of prayer.
